# 🎯 What Is a Profit Target at Nostro?

A **profit target** is the amount of profit a trader must achieve in order to successfully complete an evaluation phase.

Each phase of a Nostro challenge requires traders to reach a **specific percentage profit based on their starting balance**.

#### **How Profit Targets Work**

Profit targets are calculated from your **starting account balance** and remain **fixed throughout the phase**.

For example:

- If you have a **$10,000 account**
- And the profit target is **10%**

You must reach **$11,000 equity or balance** to complete that phase.

#### **Evaluation vs Funded Stage**

Profit targets **only apply during the evaluation phases**.

Once you reach the **funded stage**, there is **no profit target requirement**, and you are free to trade and request payouts according to the payout rules.

**Exception:**

For the **Nostro Free Challenge**, the funded stage includes a **5% profit target**. Once this target is reached, the challenge is considered complete and the reward can be claimed.

#### **Purpose of the Profit Target**

Profit targets are used to demonstrate that a trader can:

- Generate consistent profits
- Manage risk responsibly
- Operate within the platform’s trading rules

They are part of the evaluation process designed to identify **disciplined and capable traders**.
