⚠️ What Happens If I Accidentally Violate a Rule at Nostro?
If a rule is violated on the Nostro platform, the system will automatically register the event according to the breach framework defined in the trading rules.
Types of Rule Breaches
Depending on the rule that was broken, the system may trigger one of the following:
Soft Breach
A soft breach acts as a warning. All open trades will be closed, but you can continue trading immediately. The event will be recorded in your breach counter within your dashboard.
You may receive up to two soft breaches. A third soft breach automatically converts into a hard breach, which ends the account.
Hard Breach
A hard breach immediately ends the account. All trades are closed, trading privileges are disabled, and the account is moved to a breached state.
Action Required
Certain events may trigger an action required notification. In this case, a ticket will appear in your dashboard requesting additional information or evidence. You will typically have 48 hours to respond. If no response is provided within that timeframe, the event may convert into a hard breach.
Accidental Rule Violations
The Nostro system monitors accounts automatically and cannot distinguish between intentional and accidental breaches. If a rule is triggered, the system will enforce the breach according to the platform rules.
For this reason, traders should always ensure they:
-
Monitor their risk limits carefully
-
Understand the trading rules before trading
-
Use proper risk management at all times
Summary
✔ Rules are monitored automatically
✔ Violations trigger soft breaches, hard breaches, or action required events
✔ Three soft breaches convert into a hard breach
✔ The system applies rules regardless of intent
Understanding the rules and managing risk carefully is the best way to avoid accidental breaches.
