# 🌙 Can I Hold Trades Overnight or Over the Weekend?

 

Yes. Nostro allows traders to **hold positions overnight and over the weekend**.

There are no restrictions on keeping trades open outside of normal trading hours, meaning you are free to use strategies that involve **swing trading or longer-term positions**.

#### **What to Be Aware Of**

While holding trades overnight or over the weekend is permitted, traders should still be mindful of:

- **Market gaps**, which can occur when markets reopen
- **Increased volatility** during major events
- Your **daily and maximum drawdown limits**

If a gap causes your account to breach one of the risk rules, the system will still enforce the breach automatically.
