# 🔐 Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Nostro supports **Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)** using **Google Authenticator** to help keep your account secure.

2FA adds an extra layer of protection by requiring a **temporary verification code** from your authentication app when logging in or performing certain actions on the platform.

#### **Supported Authentication Method**

Currently, Nostro supports:

✔ **Google Authenticator**

This method generates secure, time-based codes directly on your device.

#### **Why We Do Not Use SMS Authentication**

Nostro does **not offer SMS-based 2FA**.

Because we serve traders from around the world, SMS messages can sometimes be:

- Delayed
- Blocked by international carriers
- Difficult to receive in certain regions

Using Google Authenticator ensures a **faster, more reliable, and more secure authentication process** for our global user base.

#### **Summary**

✔ SMS authentication is **not supported**
